Coach's Tips

It is a good workout to develop the whole hind part of your body, from the back muscles to the hips and thighs. It's also a great workout for lower back muscle development!

How to Twist Superman

Starting Position

1. Lie face down on the ground with arms stretched out in front of you, palms facing down. 2. Lift your legs, upper body and arms off the ground.

Proper Form

1. Slowly twist your torso and legs to the right, so your legs and arms come off the ground and form a "superman" shape. 2. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly twist your torso and legs to the left, so your legs and arms come off the ground and form a "superman" shape. 3. Repeat for desired repetitions.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale as you twist your torso and legs to the right. 2. Exhale as you twist your torso and legs to the left.

Precautions

1. Make sure to keep your neck in a neutral position and your back straight throughout the exercise. 2. Avoid arching your back or overextending your neck. 3. Do not twist your torso too far in either direction, as this could cause strain on your back. 4. Do not use jerking motions, as this could lead to injury.
